Sunset Yoga Center is a locally owned business devoted to offering Iyengar Yoga classes.  We have been in business for 14 years and have highly trained teachers, devoted to yoga.  Our center offers a true community; many people have made lifelong friends at our classes. We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced yoga classes, as well as special classes such as prenatal yoga and gentle yoga.  Yoga workshops and retreats are also available. Workshop topics have included yoga for depression, postpartum yoga, and restorative yoga.  Private classes are available.  Senior Iyengar Yoga teachers offer intensives twice a year for serious students. Aspiring teachers can work with Sunset Yoga Center owner Nina Pileggi as yoga apprentices to work towards Iyengar Yoga certified teacher status. Nina has successfully mentored many teachers through  the process of becoming certified. Core stability classes (using an exercise ball as well as other equipment) taught by a physical therapist complete our offerings. We are located in Cedar Mill, and are convenient to Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro. At Sunset Yoga Center you can: De-stress from the day. Yoga is your time to take a break from the pressures and demands of everyday life. Classes are designed to leave you feeling better than when you arrived. We offer a welcoming community where you can develop lasting friendships. Relieve tightness and stiffness. Daily activities such as sitting at a computer, riding a bicycle or running lead to chronic tightness. Yogic stretching is a perfect balance for these and other athletic endeavors. Move your body, still your mind. The practice of yoga builds strength and flexibility in the physical body. Over time, the postures also help us become more mindful and centered.  Be healthy and well. Yoga is a life-long practice for all ages that works with the body you have today. The practice of yoga has been linked to a variety of positive health benefits, including better balance, which becomes more important as we age. Begin your yoga journey. Our highly trained teachers offer individualized instruction to help you get started safely. Problems from poor yoga habits may not show up for years. We think it’s better to start with a strong foundation so that you can enjoy yoga for a lifetime. Take your practice to the next level. Experienced yogis will find dedicated instructors with deep-seated knowledge who are eager to help you meet your yoga goals. All yoga gear is provided.  We are a fully equipped studio.
