Founded in 1981, our firm is devoted to representing employees and former employees. We represent employees who are the victims of discrimination or wrongful termination. Employees discriminated against on the basis of disability, race, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or religion by private or government employers come to us. We represent persons retaliated against for opposing civil rights violations, or for filing civil rights claims. Many of our clients are employees discriminated against because of workers' compensation injuries. We represent the victims of sexual, racial or other forms of illegal harassment. We assist persons discriminated against because of their use of family medical leave under state or federal law. Our clients include persons discriminated against for "whistleblowing" activity, such as for reporting or opposing occupational safety and health (OSHA) violations, financial irregularities, or other illegal activities.
Our practice includes representing government employees in due process, equal protection, and free speech retaliation cases.
We also represent employees whose rights have been violated in other ways by employers. Our clients include employees whose reputation has been defamed by a present or former employer. They include victims of employer fraud or misrepresentation in the recruitment and hiring process. They include those who have been the target of outrageous employer conduct, or invasion of privacy. They also include persons whose verbal or written contract with their employer has been broken.
In addition to our representation of employees, we also represent victims of discrimination in public accommodations and housing.
As part of our non-litigation services we review and negotiate employment and severance agreements on behalf of executives and other employees.
