As Veloce enters its ninth season, I would like to thank all our loyal customers for your great support over the last eight years. Veloce has grown into the bike shop I had always hoped it would be and has been the high point of my career. All of you have been a big part of that. The store has been built on the foundation of great customer service, deep knowledge of and belief in the power of cycling, and a commitment to the community around us.
As of October 20, 2010, Brent Engstrom will take over as Owner of Veloce and I will be moving on to a new venture. After a break to spend time on my bike and lay on the beach in Costa Rica (ordered by Denise, my intelligent Wife), I will be beginning the next chapter of my bicycle career. Starting January 2011, I will be opening a professional fitting studio focusing on my passion of working with people one on one and getting them on a bike that properly fits them.
When I met Brent, I knew that he was the right person to take the Veloce legacy forward. I am very pleased to leave Veloce in his capable hands. He is a highly knowledgeable professional in our field and will continue the quality service that Veloce has been built on.
Thanks again for your loyalty and friendship through out the years. I have promised to stop by the shop from time to time and look forward to seeing you in the future around town.

We would just like to thank the Veloce Racing team, as well as all of the voulenteers and participants for making the Battle at Barlow such a success yesterday! Veloce Racing did an awesome job of organizing the event, creating the course and even providing coffee and plenty of foul weather! Congrats to all of the winners.
We can't wait to see you all again next year, until then.

The newest TT bicycle to leave the shop, the Cento 1 Crono is Wilier's top of the line time trial bicycle. So here it is, right before it went home with its new owner our good friend and triathlete John Coffey.

We recieved an email recently from a customer that had come to Portland to get fit by Demetri. He was very pleased with the effect that the changes we made had on him. We thought we would share his comments with all of you.
"I am the police officer from Coos Bay that is friends with Scott. Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the bike fitting you did for me. You did both my road and tri bikes. I feel a lot stronger now on both and raising the seat on my tri bike nearly 3/4" made a huge difference. I have had a nagging IT band problem for several years and thanks to the fit and you offering some simple stretching exercises my problem seems to have gone away.

Thank you very much. It was well worth the money spent I only wish I would have done it years ago.
