The New Affordable Arcam rDAC. You asked for them! We have them!

You've been patiently waiting. And we now have them in stock! The Arcam rDAC. Arcam produced the world’s first Digital to Analogue Converter 21 years ago and has enjoyed a world wide reputation for excellence in digital audio ever since. The rDAC can also transform the sound quality of sources like set top boxes, delivering high quality radio station streams as well as popular streaming products like Logitech Squeezbox and Sonos. With it's reference quality Wolfson Microelectronics world class 8741 DAC chip, it can totally transform the sound odigital sources like Computer Servers, DVD, Blu-ray and CD players, which don’t have an internal reference level DAC.

Best yet, it has a top level USB input! Not just an after thought like some DACs, this one was created by dCS (Data Conversion System Ltd). The same company that has been making the well respected Ring DAC that has been an industry leader for many, many years, and currently has some of the most highly regarded (and ultra-ultra-expensive) digital sources out there. The dCS technology allows a precision clock to drastically reduce the level of jitter typically found in USB music sources and delivers a massive improvement in sound quality over the standard USB ‘adaptive’ system that is commonly used. Reviews still to come! So… you better get down here for a personal audition and form your own review….it's your ears, your music, you decide what sounds best. And at only $479, it's sounding pretty darn good.

The new Logitech Squeezbox Touch is here! We've got them and it will make getting music from your computer to your audio system easy and sound great! Apple's iTunes still doesn't do higher resolution format audio easily, but with the Squeezebox, you can! And you can do it all through wireless! It can output bit perfect digital audio at 16/44.1, 24/88.2 and 24/96 kHz, and with a nice easy to read screen! Read some reviews here and here (download the .pdf, issue 31, on page 72). It's the 'it' piece of gear right now, even garnering the cover of Stereophile Magazine this month. Come in and ask us how to make this a great solution for your computer based music. These things are selling like hotcakes!

We've been auditioning the new Audio Research DSi200, and it sounds amazing! It's been garnering some high praise from even some of the toughest reviewers. Class D amps get a tough knock sometimes, but with Audio Research building this Integrated Amplifier from the ground up, you know it had to be done right. Not content to use off the shelf parts, they have created a well rounded piece that is worthy of the Audio Research name and has that amazing ARC sound! It will drive some of the toughest speakers while still 'staying cool'. Not many top notch audio amps can both garner a "Energy Star" rating AND sound amazing. Read some reviews here and here (download the pdf, issue 31, page 155)

In case you missed that we've been an OPPO dealer for years, we have ALL the OPPO Blu-Ray players IN STOCK!
The BDP-80 ($289!), BDP-83 and the BDP-83SE. Our prices are the same as OPPO without shipping! Include the same bonus Blu-Ray discs also.

The Naim DAC provides eight S/PDIF inputs, two USB inputs, and is capable of handling audio data sampled at up to 768kHz and with up to 32bit resolution. It's an unanimous vote by the entire staff …this is the best DAC we have ever heard! And it's garnering some of the highest praise around! On display now, come listen and take your digital music to a whole new level in sound! Read more. You can also read some of the reviews here and here.

The new 300D DAC will accept an input signal ranging from 44.1 to 192kHz, with a bit-depth range from 16 to 24-bits. With USB, 2 Coax, and Optical inputs. Internal upsampling using 24-bit/352.8kHz processing. Some reviews: here, and here (download the .pdf, on page 174 of Issue 31)

More PSB Speakers, new Imagine and Image T6, and now Synchrony too!

We now have the PSB Synchrony Two's on display to audition as well as the PSB Image T6 Loudspeaker. The T6s were recently well reviewed in TAS Issue 200. "Has Paul Barton ever designed a bad-sounding loudspeaker?" At $1,200, it's hard not to want to at least take in a listen…

The new PSB loudspeakers have been getting rave reviews, so bring some music and come listen to the Imagine and Image speakers!
