Everyday Music stores specialize in used CDs, DVDs, and records, but also carry a wide variety of new discs and vinyl. Each location stocked over 100,000 CDs and records. Because Everyday Music buys any and all used music and movies, you can find titles unavailable in other stores. And the inventory constantly changes with hundreds of used titles arriving daily, so regular and frequent trips to the stores are necessary to unearth some hidden treasures. We are open 'til midnight every day so there's plenty of time to browse.
Everyday Music is an independently-owned and operated company with three locations in Oregon and two in Washington. Started in 1995, the owners have a combined 35 years of music store experience...that's a lot of records. Despite the mega-chains and the e-tailers, EM has, due to a lot of hard work and a lot of very good people, continued to thrive.
EM has inventory in all genres of music: rock and pop, rap and hip-hop, jazz and blues, folk and country, reggae and world music. There is also a separate store devoted exclusively to jazz and classical music at the Burnside location. What's not in stock can be special ordered, provided it's a title that is currently available. Unfortunately, we do not do searches for out-of-print titles, but with people selling their personal collections you never know what you'll find inside the stores. And we sell gift certificates available for any amount you choose.
Every EM has listening stations which allow customers to sample any title that we have in stock. Just bring your selection to the listening station and we will open it and let you listen, just like the record stores of long ago. And like the old-time record stores, EM is a low-tech and user friendly. We will help you find what you want and hopefully turn you on to something you didn't know you needed.
What you won't find at Everyday Music is a mega-store, chain-style, one-size-fits-all mentality or that over-hip, slacker aloofness atmosphere. Our employees are friendly and helpful and they all really love music. We are NOT a corporate chain!!
