B&B Environmental Commitment

Here at B&B we have reinforced our commitment to protecting the environment by becoming FSC certified. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world's forests. FSC sets high standards that ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable way. By adhering to the FSC's standards we are supporting the growth of responsible forest management worldwide. Here are some of our practices that we employ that will minimize our environmental impact:

We are FSC certified. We encourage you to use recycled papers as well as papers from responsibly managed forests.
We recycle all of our waste paper, aluminum plates and expired inks.
Our prepress process is completely direct-to-plate, with a water-soluble processing system. No harsh chemicals are used in our plating process. We stopped the use of film 6 years ago, eliminating the silver and mercury contaminates they contain.
Our facility uses many energy saving items including our HVAC systems and low-energy fluorescent lighting.
All of our Toyo inks are vegetable based.
Our KBA uses the Sentinal Ink Management System for consistency of color and minimum ink waste.
