Boarding school students Jonathan and Yafet became good friends through their common love of skate boarding. This is one example of what boarding schools offer - life long friendships from different parts of the world. Canyonville Christian Academy houses students from over 17 different nations, where students not only learn quality education, butthey learn about different cultures. For students preparing to embark in colleges pursuingInternational Business this is an idea situation, along with creating life long friendships with students from around the world.

Enjoying Oregon’s beauty
Each year, Canyonville Christian Academy has a program called "CPR" which stands for "Christian character and Personal Responsibility." Students who display quality character, are not tardy and who keep up their grade point average get chosen for CPR Priviledge. Privileges can range from a "no homework" card " to pizza parties, etc. In the photo, the CPR students are enjoying a weekend at the Oregon coast. For some of these boarding school students, this is an amazing experience and helps them strive to do better.

Classes to provoke thoughts and ideas are part of the curriculum at Canyonville Christian Academy. The student teacher ratio averages 15:1 or less which provides for more individual attention to the needs of the students.

Life long Friendships
Part of Canyonville Christian Academy's private boarding school experience is making lifelong friendships from all over the world!

Students rally around the Pilots during a basketball game. Many students who have never watched a live basketball game before, instantly become fans as the Canyonville Christian Academy Pilots take to the floor.

Lots of fun activities are part of this private boarding school's life! In this photo, we see a girls team for our annual "Survivor Fear Factor" race. Teams are judged by their colors and creative clothing as they run all over Canyonville collecting clues, performing various stunts, getting wet and dirty all to become the winning team. But most of all, it's about having fun.

Oregon Stock Market Champs
Winners of theOregon Stock Market game 9 years in a row. High school teams from across the state of Oregon are given $10,000 of pretend money to use in the high school stock market game. For the past 9 years, Canyonville Christian Academy has taken the first place trophy.

Annual Rafting Trip a success
On September 10th, Canyonville Christian Academy traveled to the Rogue river for our annual rafting trip. This rafting trip is always a GREAT icebreaker with boarding school students as it gives them an opportunity to get to know each other better while they're having fun. For most boarding schools, students become like one great big family. Here at CCA, we have so many international students, that a bonding/fun activity is very important in the beginning of the year. Winning Sports and Academics
In Canyonville Christian Academy's 86 year history, many sports honors have been achieved. Our trophy cases contain many 1st place trophies from the Oregon Schools Athletic Association (OSAA) ranging from cross country, basketball and track and field. CCA is a boarding high school for grades 9-12 and also offers a day school for grades 9-12. Founded in 1924, the school is fully accredited with the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and a member of ACSI. CCA has won national and state academic awards. Its prestigious symposiums have been aired by C-SPAN's national television network. It has 13 buildings on a wooded campus divided by a beautiful stream in the mountains of southern Oregon. CCA is an evangelical Christian school which welcomes students from every denomination.
