Bend’s Community Center (BCC) is a dynamic 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need and partnering with many local nonprofits, agencies and organizations throughout our community. Always responsive to community needs, BCC has evolved over the years to where it occupies a completely unique niche as both an event center and a social service provider.
BCC social service programs have been established to meet the basic needs of those in the community. Our clientele include the poor, the hungry, the homeless, and the disadvantaged from throughout the region - young and old, teens and families with young children. Many are veterans and people with mental health disorders and/or physical disabilities.
Some people have told us we try to do too much and should have more of a focus in our work. Our response has always been that we believe there is significant need in the community. But, we also believe this is a very generous community, with people and businesses and service clubs and churches who come together to help address those needs. Our goal as an organization is to identify and implement simple, low-cost, non-duplicative activities that address basic needs and make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
