Sana Hayes is an ordained interfaith minister performing marriage and other ceremonies throughout the Northwest. A native Oregonian, Sana is proud of her pioneer roots.
Sana is a graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York where she was ordained in 2006. Her education at One Spirit included studies of the world's religions and spiritual traditions, death and dying, counseling, prayer, ritual and more.
As an interfaith minister, Sana has an understanding, acceptance, and appreciation for ALL spiritual practices and beliefs. Sana's own path is one devoted to service, contemplation, meditation, and a lifestyle practicing love, trust, courage, faith, and patience.
In alignment with her love for animals, Sana is a board member and chaplain for Synergy Animal Hospice located in Bend, Oregon. This nonprofit provides support of the animal-human connection through end-of-life transitions. There is a weekly pet loss support group as well as a hospice care house.
Sana has been a chaplain for her town's volunteer fire department www.sistersfire.com since 2005.
Sana joyfully participates in the Prayer Shawl Ministry www.shawlministry.com by crocheting shawls for hospital chaplains to distribute to patients or family members who might be especially comforted in their time of need by receiving a handmade shawl along with a prayer.
