A Printmaking and Book Arts Center for Bend
Based on the centuries-old tradition of the atelier, Atelier 6000 is a center for an energetic community of artists, working collaboratively, sharing ideas, technique and process – it’s a place for learning and inspiration; a studio-workshop where students from all lifestyles, from absolute beginners to professional artists learn directly from master artist teachers.
A well-equipped studio, A6 has 2000 square feet with three presses for plate lithography, etching, and monotype. Dedicated to sustainable practices, A6 prints with less toxic and green materials using soy-based water-soluble inks; no caustic chemicals or acids usually associated with printmaking are used during the print process.
