Welcome to Abundant Grace Yoga with Ulla Lundgren, Certified Anusara Yoga® teacher!
Here you will find information about my weekly classes in Bend, Oregon, as well as my schedule of workshops, retreats, immersions (in-depth Anusara Yoga® studies), and teacher trainings.
If you are new to Anusara Yoga, you can expect a few things in class. Anusara Yoga classes vary in their content and types of poses. Your first class might be playful and uptempo, focusing on back-bending and hand-balancing poses. Your next class might focus on seated forward bends, hip openers, and twists, with a slower tempo and more contemplative intent.
Anusara yoga teachers are highly skilled at teaching you how to approach a pose — even poses that are very challenging for you. Students often marvel at how fast their practice progresses and their abilities expand once starting to study Anusara Yoga. Each class theme will inspire you to not only connect deeper to your self physically but also to awaken to the strength and beauty of your spirit.
The web site of Anusara Yoga founder John Friend offers some additional information about the curriculum:
"Anusara yoga is a highly esteemed and professional yoga school in which teachers are rigorously trained over several years in a broad and in-depth curriculum that encompasses studies in eastern philosophy and yoga history, biomechanics, anatomy, detailed postural alignment, therapeutics, and the art of teaching yoga. In its overall curriculum, Anusara yoga includes a wide range of classes that accommodates students of all physical ability and level of yoga experience. Beginning students, children and seniors, expectant mothers, students with therapeutic limitations, and world-class advanced yoga teachers can all find Anusara yoga classes to appropriately suit them."
