We believe that every claim is important, and our experienced trial attorneys have handled million-dollar injury claims, as well as countless claims of all types big and small. We have proven many cases against SAIF, Liberty Northwest, and other insurers, employers, and defendants.
We know the law is sometimes unfair. Our experienced appellate lawyers have successfully argued to the Oregon Supreme Court and Court of Appeals to change the law in many cases to help our clients. For example, in Smothers v. Gresham Transfer, we won the right for some injured workers with denied worker's compensation claims to sue negligent employers. In Fleetwood v. VanWechel, we won the right for injured workers to reopen their closed claims for new and unaccepted medical conditions caused by their injuries. In Karjalainen v. Curtis Johnson, we changed the law to limit what conditions may be counted against injured workers as preexisting conditions. Also, due to our efforts, workers may get medical treatment, temporary disability and permanent disability benefits more fairly and promptly paid.
