Our plasters should be burnished / polished when they are still wet and in the process of drying. Natural plasters like ours must be burnished when they are drying at a clay like dampness. It's very easy and fast. Some applicators are used to polishing the plaster after the last coat is dry by agressively sanding it with a fine sandpaper. This method applies mostly to synthetic plaster products, not ours. These products are sold in many paint and hardware stores are just glorified paint, harder to use and twice the price of what we make. If it isn't natural, it isn't real plaster.
