Located one mile south of Winchester Bay is the Umpqua River Lighthouse. It is one of the few working lighthouses on the Oregon Coast.

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area: Forty-plus miles of the central Oregon coast, stretching from Florence south to Coos Bay, along Highway 101, are home to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Beautiful, majestic sand dunes that are literally hundreds of feet high, and are enjoyed by outdoor enthusiast.
Umpqua Lighthouse: Located one mile south of Winchester Bay is the Umpqua River Lighthouse. It is one of the few working lighthouses on the Oregon Coast. Tours inside the lighthouse are available during the summer months. Across from the lighthouse is an observation deck for whale watching with interpretive panels and spotting scopes.
Oceans & Rivers: The ocean and rivers offer a variety of seafood, such as Chinook and Coho salmon, bottom fish, striped and small mouth bass, steelhead. sturgeon, shad, pink tin perch, Dungeness crab, clams and oysters.
