Peninsula Insurance was founded in 1933 as a division of Peninsula Mortgage Company. A long time employee of the firm, Eula Wells, purchased the insurance operations in 1968 and began a storied history of providing professional insurance sales and service to the North Portland community and beyond.
Eula not only led Peninsula to an extraordinary level of customer care, but found time to serve her industry as the first female President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oregon. She also was dedicated to the companies serving her customers and was for many years a valued member of Safeco Insurance's prestigious President's Council.
Continuing the family's legacy of excellence of thoughtful service to customers and ethical representation of company partners, Cherie and Tim Boyce guided Peninsula through the next generation of growth. Cherie has long been recognized as a tenaciously thorough agent who takes pride in her friendly advisory relationship with her policyholders. She knows each of you by name and can recant the histories of your families from memory.
Today, third generation family member Kim Thomas carries on the tradition established by her grandmother and parents. Joined by her colleagues, Debbie Baxter and Karin Watts, Kim works closely with Andy Rosson and Bob Rosson to provide counsel and solutions for the insurance needs of those entrusting their personal and business risks to Peninsula.
While the world served by Peninsula Insurance has expanded over time well beyond the geographic borders of the St. Johns community it initially served, the agency remains committed to serving you first. As an independent agent, we don't work for any single insurance company. Rather, Peninsula offers you a choice of insurance company, customization of coverage, and advocacy when you need it.
