Halloween in Wonderland Make & Take
October 26th, 2010 | Posted in Creations, Techniques

Yesterday we had fun tearing paper, inking edges and eating cream puffs. I forgot to put the cream puffs out at Designing Desserts so I shared them with the Make & Take guests. Here’s what we created…

Purple A2 Note Card
Friend Definition Cling (CG125) by Hero Arts
Hobgoblin Tissue Tape by Idea-ology

Stamp Friend Definition with Tuxedo Black ink on Hazard card stock. Tear 1/4 off top and bottom edges then fold over some of the torn peaks. Ink the edges of all paper layers with Tuxedo Black ink. Adhere Celebration (stripe) to front of purple note card. Adhere stamped Hazard layer then Avocado card stock. Embellish with a strip of Hobgoblin Tissue Tape on Avocado card stock. Trim one Jabberwocky image out with Deckle Edge scissors. Mount on card front with foam tape.
Designed by Lisa Taylor.
Our next Make & Take is Monday, Nov. 8. Hope you can join us!

Textured Text Make & Take
October 13th, 2010 | Posted in Creations, Techniques

Yep, it was Make & Take on Monday and again, the fans went wild! This was inspired by the Sept/Oct 2010 issue of Paper Crafts. The technique is on page 61 and the layout inspiration is on page 64. Here’s my version of it all…

Verbose (ISVB) by Technique Tuesday
Regal Flourishes Texture Fade & Cuttlebug
Natural A2 Note Card and Coredinations scraps
Nougat Smoothies by Bazzill
Weathered Purple by Little Yellow Bicycle
Cloverleaf Dotted Swiss Trio by Bazzill
Snow Cap Adirondack Pigment Ink
Dusty Concord Distress Ink
Tattered Florals Alterations Die by Sizzix
Rock Fern Punch and Chocolate Delight Pearls
Acrylic Blocks, Adhesive and Brayer

Emboss Nougat with Regal Flourishes in Cuttlebug. Stamp text block with Snow Cap on raised portions of design. Adhere to left side of note card. Adhere square of Cloverleaf Dotted Swiss to upper right corner. Edge Weathered Purple with Dusty Concord and adhere in lower right corner. Die cut two smaller flowers out of light colors of Coredinations paper. Punch Rock Fern twice from Dotted Swiss, facing opposite directions. Lightly apply Dusty Concord to the flowers and adhere the leaves. Adhere the flower to card front at paper intersection. Embellish with pearls. Designed by Lisa Taylor.
