Why buy from an authorized dealer? Some companies, such as Olhausen, require their products to be purchased from an authorized dealer for the warranty to be valid. Authorized dealers have to meet certain requirements to be eligible for that status. For instance some companies require authorized dealers to have a store front and stock a certain amount of product. Other companies require authorized dealers to have an in-house installation crew. And other companies require that the dealer has been in business for a minimum time period. Dealers who receive excessive complaints lose their authorized dealer status. These requirements are meant to protect you, the consumer. Most companies also have sales representatives for their authorized dealer network allowing for relationships to be established directly between the dealer and the company.
