Winters Sewing has been doing high quality furniture upholstery and sewing in Salem since 1994.

Upholstery Picture and Slideshows

These are pictures and slideshows of upholstered furniture that we have recovered. Each slide show and groups of pictures has (or will have) dozens of pictures that show the whole process or reupholstering each piece.

Slipcovers can be made in most different types of multi-purpose, upholstery and other medium to heavy-weight fabrics.
Below are pictures of some slipcovers that we made. With each pair of pictures, the picture on the left is the furniture without a slipcover. The picture on the right shows the finished slipcover.

Rough Estimates (for modern Furniture)

The labor chart gives a rough estimate for various types and styles of furniture. These Labor prices* and yardage amounts* are estimated, based upon furniture that is in good condition (springs, frame, and all paddings are OK as-is) when you purchase and use our plain or allover pattern fabrics*.

Why should I have my furniture recovered?
People have their furniture recovered for a number of reasons, some of which are:

Its a family heirloom and they want it restored.
The furniture is quality made, and the client wouldnt be able to replace it with a new piece of equal quality.
The Clients really like their present furniture and just want it renewed.
The furniture is just the right size and cant easily be replaced.
When you have your furniture recovered, you usually have a much wider selection of fabrics than what is available with new furniture.
