Dr. Starr is a 1984 graduate of the Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry. Dr Starr continues to seek a higher level of expertise. He has completed thousands of hours of continuing education. He has been doing Implant Dentistry since 1987. He achieved the status of Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) in 2010. He was trustee on the board of the AAID from 2008 to 2012. He currently serves on the membership committee of AAID. He has been a surgical teaching assistant since 2008 with the Maxi Course sponsored by The American Academy of Implant Dentistry. This is a 300 hour course that prepares Doctor’s to enter the field of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Starr was a co-director of the first AAID maxi course in 1995. This course was sponsored by OHSU. That course has yielded some of the premier implant leaders in the northwest today.
