This profile is not a list of accomplishments. It is a demonstration of education through years of continous evolution in the mortgage business. I began working in Mortgage lending in 1998 at Frontier Home Mortgage. This was where I learned to be fearless. I found that I could only succeed by diving in, and learning by emersion. Loan programs were abundant & I wanted to be able to serve my clients well. Which required me to absorb a lot of information , guidelines, and procedures. I became very proficient at the technical workings of the mortgage industry.
In 2001 my husband and I founded Direct Home Funding. We owned & managed our business through 2006. There is no accountability stronger than the accountability of being self employed. This experience gave me greater appreciation for the work place & the awesome responsibility of being accountable for the people we employed. We grew our business & helped groom and develope several loan officers prior to selling our business in 2006.
I went from small business owner to big bank banking in corpaorate America. Washington Mutual Bank/Chase February 2007 to May 2009 . Wells Fargo Private Mortgage Bank May 2009 - April 2013. Working at a large bank had its advantages. It offered security of a brand name, and a large client base. During this time I also acquired my underwriting license. Being an underwriter gave me unique skill set that allowed me to give my clients unparalled customer service. Not only did I originate the loan , I also underwrote the loan. This provided my clients a seamless process where I was their 1 point of contact through out their transaction. As time went by the culture of big bank ing began to digress. I felt the need to be at a smaller more nimble bank that was more in touch with its clients wants and needs.
I moved to HomeStreet bank in April 2013. I am very excited to be working for a community bank that has a long history of being a strong partner within our community. With the highest priority for community involvement. HomeStreet supports community organizations through active partnerships which include employee leadership, hands-on service, expertise and financial support. HomeStreet has been consistently recognized by the federal government as "Outstanding" under the Community Reinvestment Act. I feel that my journey has placed me in the right place, with the right skill set, to support, & serve my clients.
