We at American Craftsman and Refinishers are dedicated to saving the American tradition of quality. We do this in two ways first by saving antique pieces that may otherwise be lost to time and second by producing quality hand built reproduction mirrors. In this age of out sourcing and mechanical reproduction, we believe that it is imperative to save our tradition of manufacturing fine items right here in America.
We specialize in restoring antiques to like new condition. When something has been painted, damaged in fire, broken, or just mistreated we fix it. We keep details intact, and replace missing ones.
Our mirrors are made with care by our craftsmen. We use only the finest materials to insure they will last for generations. Every aspect of the mirrors is considered and refined. We start with glass that is shaped and manufactured in America. All wood is solid whether it's oak, cherry, walnut, or mahogany, etc. There is NO particle board or MDF on or in any of our mirrors. The scroll work and sculptural details are hand carved by American artist and cast by a local foundry of solid brass, and bronze. All of our hardware is custom made of solid brass by local machinists. These mirrors are heirloom quality they will out last all of us. When you buy it from us you get honesty, and we guarantee it.
