We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
Central Oregon Mediation, Inc. was founded as a non-profit, volunteer-based community dispute resolution organization in 1997. We provide mediation services to residents in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties.
While trained volunteers deliver most of the services, an Executive Director and a Board of Directors administer the program.
Community mediation helps individuals, businesses, neighbors and families when conflict or disagreements arise. Mediators help parties communicate with understanding explore solutions and solve problems. Some conflicts involve neighbor or neighborhood relationships, homeowner association issues. workplace problems, consumer/business disputes, family relationship including separation/divorce or children's issues; money issues, landlord tenant disputes, and land use disputes and more.
Services are delivered throughout the region using various schools, churches, local agencies and community centers to host mediations, so participants have access to services in their communities.
