Arts Umbrella, Inc., of Eugene, Oregon, is accepting applications for its executive director position. A non-profit arts program, Arts Umbrella sponsors orchestras for fifth graders through young adults, including the youth symphonies, elementary school music classes and summer arts programs. This is a part time (30 hours per week) position. The executive director formulates and carries out policies and programs related to administrative, budgetary, staffing, fund-raising and advocacy, and is often a public face in community activities.
The position requires executive level management experience and knowledge of non-profit management. Advanced degree preferred, but a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with experience, may be considered. We seek candidates with demonstrated effectiveness in working with students and staff, and a passion for the arts.

Mission Statement:

Arts Umbrella offers educational and performance opportunities in music, dance, and theater for students of all backgrounds. Arts Umbrella works collaboratively with public schools and other arts education agencies to create and maintain quality arts education in our area.
Arts Umbrella currently runs four auditioned orchestras, a beginning strings program, bi-yearly AP Music Theory classes, and summer camps in band, jazz improv, strings, and musical theater. We provide scholarships and fee waivers to qualified students and never turn children away from our programs because of financial status.
