West Hills Alert! Scientists are reporting a sharp increase in the number of dead sea lions washing ashore on Oregon Beaches. These sea lions have been dying of a bacterial infection called leptospirosis. This dangerous infection can be spread to pets and humans through direct contact with an infected animals urine, feces or corpse. If you plan on taking your pet to the Beach anytime soon, be sure to keep them on a leash at all times and avoid any dead or dying sea lions.
