Welcome!-I am Thomas J. Cotter Broker/Owner of Fern Ridge Realty. I formed this company in 1992. I have been selling homes and country property for the past 19 years. I live in Veneta, Oregon with my family and serve on the Veneta City Council.
The Fern Ridge area is, a short country commute, immediately west of Eugene, Oregon on Hwy 126. The City of Veneta is a small growing community that lies at the intersection of Territorial Hwy.-(North & South) and Hwy 126 (East & West) and provides services to a large rural unincorporated area. While many of its residents drive to Eugene to work, Veneta has a large available work force and is only moments away from Mahlon Sweet Airport, Interstate 5, and Southern Pacific Rail Road. Only 45 miles to the Pacific Ocean and 90 miles to the scenic Cascade Mountains Range you do not have to travel far for recreation. Adjacent to Veneta is Fern Ridge Lake, a reservoir dam project operated by the corps of Engineers. It supplies a summer of recreational sailing, power boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. The length of Fern Ridge Lake is approximately 4.5 miles and its area covers 9,000 acres. Veneta provides a variety of activities from the library, restaurants, museum, swimming pool to the new park that is starting construction.
